Special Projects Administrator
Miranda is a First Nation band member with Dakota Tipi First Nation from Manitoba. She currently works at the Indigenous Leadership Development Institute, Inc. in the role of Special Projects Administrator.
Miranda received a Certified Aboriginal Financial Management Diploma and a Business Certificate from the Yellowquill College. Ms. Smoke’s professional achievements also include holding several years of experience in the areas of financial management, computer technical and software management, business and office administrations.
Miranda’s leadership roles have focussed on community and business development, and really takes a keen interest in cultural awareness, much of her work activities have centred on education and training and History research for Indigenous peoples.
Additionally, Miranda has a strong skill set in communications and team building. Her past volunteer work with Dakota Language Speaking Class is an example of her commitment to her work and Indigenous Peoples in Canada.
